The Everlast Typhoon 230 is a next-generation AC/DC TIG and Stick welder, engineered for fabricators who want maximum performance, consistent control, and superior weld quality. TIG ratings based off of industry accepted standard practices for quality single and multi-pass welds. AC advanced pulse, when adjusted properly can weld thicker than standard welders with 250 amps output and this is included in Steel and Aluminium maximum capacity statements.
Stick:
- Weld with a minimum of 1/16" diameter electrode
- Weld with a maximum of 3/16"" diameter electrode (240V)
- Weld with a maximum of 3/32" diameter electrode (120V)
- E6010 performance may be limited on 120V
Stick electrode maximum size is ultimately dependent upon type/class of electrode and manufacturer's recommendation.
NOTE: This unit should be operated with generators capable of 8000 surge watts or greater. Though this unit is equipped with PFC, it is still recommended that for best service, the generator be rated for 5% or less Total Harmonic Distortion. However, in emergency situations, generators with higher THD levels up to 15% may be used.
PLEASE NOTE: To achieve the maximum performance out of your Everlast Machine please ensure your current breaker and wiring/socket setup at your place of use is sufficient enough to achieve this. For example, you may be required to upgrade your breaker to a 32A dedicated circuit to suit, therefore allowing you to achieve your machines full duty cycle.
